The rosters for this year’s N.C. Coaches Association All-Star boys and girls basketball games have been released. The NCCA All-Star games will be July 17 in the Greensboro Coliseum.

Among the locals to make the East girls’ team are: Jordan’s Talia Barnes, Millbrook’s Kai Crutchfield and Dazia Powell, Hillside’s Elisia Grissett, Rolesville’s Jaylin Powell and Union Pines’ Nyona Shields.

In the NCCA, Chatham County gets placed into the West to maintain a 50/50 county split.

That means Northwood’s Kristian Eanes will play for the West girls.

The boys’ East team has a host of area players: Orange’s Connor Crabtree, Apex’s Eric Fox, Leesville Road’s Alex Hunter, North Pitt’s Devonte Pettaway, Garner’s Alex Reed and Fike’s Samson Strickland.

South Central’s Chris Cherry is an assistant coach for the East.
