N&O All-Metro boys golf team
Broughton High seniors Harrison Rhoades and Stephen Saleeby, who helped the Caps to two N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A championships during their careers, lead the 2015 News & Observer high school boys golf All-Metro team.
The Caps won 4A state titles in 2012 and 2014. Saleeby was the 2012 individual champion.
Leesville Road junior Doc Redman shot a two-under-par 70 on the second day of the 2015 NCHSAA championships to finish second in 4A and South Johnston’s Patrick Stephenson posted a seven-under-par 65 on the second day to finish second in the 3A competition.
