Cary Christian’s Chide Ogan is the News & Observer high school athlete of the week

The News & Observer high school athlete of the week is Cary Christian’s Chide Ogan.

Ogan received 66 percent of the vote last week.

A 5-foot-11, 185-pound senior running back, Ogan rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns on eight carries to help the Knights to a 56-0 victory over St. David’s Oct. 15.

Ogan also had three tackles from his linebacker position as Cary Christian beat St. David’s for the first time since 2013.

Ogan also excels in the classroom, where he boasts a 4.53 grade-point average.
