Heritage’s Marco Patierno is the News & Observer HS athlete of the week (week of 10/29)

Heritage High football player Marco Patierno is the News & Observer high school athlete of the week. Patierno won for the week of Oct. 29.

The 6-2, 215-pound senior had a big impact on both sides of the ball as Heritage beat Wakefield 37-18 Oct. 22.

Patierno had five catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns as a wide receiver, while making eight tackles from his middle linebacker position in the Wakefield victory.

Patierno has 114 tackles, three sacks and three interceptions, while catching 18 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns for Heritage (8-1) this season.
