Princeton’s Anna Taylor is News & Observer girls Triangle athlete of the week

Princeton basketball star Anna Taylor is the News & Observer girls athlete of the week in the Triangle.

The 5-foot-8 junior averaged 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, five assists and five steals per game as Princeton beat Goldsboro, Southern Wake Academy and Spring Creek.

Taylor scored 14 points to go with four rebounds, five assists and five steals in a 51-49 win at Goldsboro Feb. 1.

She scored 19 points and had two rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 50-28 victory over Southern Wake Academy Feb. 3.

The next night, Taylor scored 25 points, seven rebounds, five assists and six steals in a 54-26 win at Spring Creek Feb. 4.

Taylor is averaging 16.7 points, 4.5 assists and 3.3 steals per game for Princeton.
