RALEIGH
Leesville Road scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and never looked back in a lopsided, 50-3 win over visiting Heritage High School of Wake Forest on Friday night.
With the win, the Pride lifted its record to 2-1 in non-league play to start the 2025 season. Leesville Road begins play in the Cap 8A conference next week, with a home game against Wakefield.

Devin Goldston, a multi-position, multi-sport athlete at Leesville Road who has committed to Wake Forest for football, had a solid game for the Pride in the win, registering a pair of long touchdowns. Damacio Cueto also scored, and the Leesville Road defense got in on the scoring action, producing a safety in the fourth quarter.

After winning its opening game of the season against Wakefield, Heritage couldn’t find the end zone for a second consecutive game, following a 36-0 shutout loss to Millbrook a week earlier.
The Huskies will try again for a second win on the season next week when they host Williams of Burlington.
