Cap-8 all-conference boys soccer team, 2015
Heritage senior forward Logan Shytle was named the Cap-8 Conference soccer player of the year.
He led the conference with 41 goals and 95 points through 19 games his senior season. Shytle was second on his team in assists with 13.
In addition to winning top league honors, Shytle was recognized as the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association player of the year.
Heritage finished fourth in the conference behind Cap-8 champion Leesville Road, Broughton and Sanderson. The Huskies finished 10-7-4 overall, seeing one round of playoffs before the Pride eliminated them, 1-0.
Leesville Road’s Paul Dinkenor was recognized as the conference’s coach of the year, leading the Pride a Cap-8 championship and a second-round playoff appearance. Broughton ended the Pride’s playoff run.
