College choice: UNC-Chapel Hill.

Varsity sports: Track and field.

Overall GPA: 5.1.

Favorite course: Statistics.

I was fascinated to learn: Donald Trump was running for president.

Most inspiring teacher: My fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Boyette, who was the first teacher to teach me the value of real hard work and to always stay motivated to do my best when it comes to school.

A book that impacted my life was: The Bible. It has helped me to stay focused on God and teaches me the things I need to do in order to please God.

It’s hard to believe that: I’m getting ready to go to college.

What epitomizes what a good American should be?: Someone who is dedicated to helping others and tries to be the best version of himself/herself everyday.

Education’s biggest challenge or problem: Making sure children that live in poverty have the same opportunities and resources as children that come from wealthier families.

My favorite charity is: Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.

Best movie: “Love and Basketball.”

Whose life inspires you?: Maya Angelou.

Three people you wish you could meet: Stevie Wonder, LeBron James, Jonathan McReynolds.

Something you enjoy that would surprise people: I love going to church.

I wish I had more time for: Learning how to play the piano.

I wish I had been there for: The March on Washington.
