I was fascinated to learn: Your eyes are always the same size from birth.
Most inspiring teacher: Mr. Tuttle, my senior year English teacher. He encourages everyone to try their best in everything and will always believe that it is possible to succeed.
A book that impacted my life was: “Tim Tebow: Through my Eyes.” Reading about his experience of playing football and following/spreading the word of Christ was truly eye-opening.
It’s hard to believe that: Hitler killed millions of people because of their religion.
What epitomizes what a good American should be?: Hardworking, loving and successful.
Education’s biggest problem: Teacher pay in North Carolina. Teachers deserve more recognition and in N.C., they are ranked 50th in teacher pay.
My favorite charity: Meg’s Smile Foundation, because it is a local charity that has a touching story behind it.
Best movie: “American Sniper.”
Whose life inspires you? Michael Oher, he worked incredibly hard for everything he has.
Three people you wish you could meet: Marcus Paige, Nelson Mandela, Will Ferrell.
I wish I had more time for: Traveling around the world.
I wish I had been there for: Michael Jordan’s game-winning shot in the 1982 national championship game.
