Myrtle Beach Pelicans top Mudcats 4-3 in 7th inning
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans (58-43) broke the tie in the seventh inning to win 4-3 against the Carolina Mudcats (49-52) Monday night.
Carolina had one more hit than Myrtle Beach but left five on base as opposed to the Pelicans’ four.
Jason Vosler hit his first home run of the season in the sixth inning.
Carlos Franco and Pin-Chieh Chen stole a base, but neither resulted in a run.
Brandon Barker (L, 5-3) allowed four runs but had four strikeouts. Jen-Ho Tseng (W, 5-6) pitched seven innings and had four strikeouts.
The Mudcats will begin play against the Frederick Keys 7 p.m. Tuesday.
