Mudcats beat Keys 7-4

Jacob Schrader’s two-run homer was the big hit in a five-run sixth inning Tuesday night that carried the Carolina Mudcats to a 7-4 victory against the Frederick Keys.

The big inning erased the Keys’ 4-2 lead.

Frederick’s Jimmy Yacabonis (2-3) entered the game with two outs in the fifth and allowed three runs.

Reliever Carlos Salazar (1-1) got the win, pitching two hitless innings.

Game 2 of the series is at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
