Blue Rocks 2, Mudcats 1
WILMINGTON
Jack Lopez singled in Humberto Arteaga with the bases loaded in the 12th inning as the host Wilmington Blue Rocks defeated the Carolina Mudcats 2-1 in 12 innings.
The Blue Rocks started the inning with a single by Arteaga. He moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Cam Gallagher and then third on a single by Logan Moon.
Justin Jackson then intentionally walked Carlos Garcia to load the bases for Lopez, who singled to left field, to bring Arteaga home.
Jackson (3-1) pitched 21/3 innings of relief, allowing three hits and one run.
Estarlin Cordero (4-2) pitched three inning of relief for the win, allowing one hit and no runs.
