NORFOLK, Va.

The Durham Bulls saw their six-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday afternoon at Harbor Park, falling to the Norfolk Tides 7-3.

Norfolk (20-39) jumped on Durham early, scoring three runs in the first inning behind three hits, a walk and sacrifice fly. The home side doubled its lead in the second frame, when Mike Yastrzemski blasted a three-run, two-out homer over the right-center field wall.

The Bulls (27-33) got on the scoreboard in the third inning when Jake Hager doubled and came around to score on Johnny Field’s double. In the fourth Jake Goebbert cracked a two-run home run to right field for Durham to make it a 6-3 contest. Norfolk put the game out of reach in the eighth when Audry Perez homered to left field.

Yovani Gallardo (1-0) earned after allowing three runs over five innings, while Austin Pruitt (4-4) took the loss for the Bulls, surrendering six runs on eight hits across eight innings.
