Bulls win first game of 3-game series with Bisons
The Durham Bulls shut out the Buffalo Bisons 5-0 Monday night at Coca-Cola Field.
Continuing a nine-game, 10-day road trip, The Bulls (30-36) kick-started their first game in a three-game series with the Bisons by scoring one run in the first inning. At the top of the second inning, J.P. Arencibia homered to left field.
The Bisons (33-31) were held to three hits with one error.
This was the second of two series between the two teams, after Buffalo took a 3-1 series win in May at the DBAP.
Durham’s Justin Marks (2-4, 3.95 ERA) is scheduled to take the mound on Tuesday against Buffalo’s Wade LeBlanc (6-2, 1.67), who is second in the league in ERA and wins.
The Bulls have an off day on Thursday before visiting Norfolk on Friday for a three-game series.
