Janish leads Norfolk over Durham 5-4
Paul Janish had two hits and three RBI as the Norfolk Tides beat the Durham Bulls 5-4 on Thursday.
Norfolk started the scoring in the second inning when Janish hit a two-run single.
Trailing 5-1, the Bulls cut into the deficit with three runs in the seventh inning, including a single by Daniel Robertson that scored Juniel Querecuto.
Norfolk right-hander Joe Gunkel (5-5) picked up the win after allowing two runs on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings. Bulls starter Justin Marks (2-7) took the loss in the International League game after giving up five runs and eight hits over five innings. Jason Stoffel struck out the side for his second save of the season.
