Bulls complete 3-game sweep of Toledo

Daniel Robertson doubled and singled three times as the Durham Bulls beat the Toledo Mud Hens 5-2 on Wednesday. The Bulls swept the three-game series with the win.

Casey Gillaspie singled three times for Durham.

Tyler Sturdevant struck Steven Moya out with runners on first and third to end the game for his third save of the season.

Toledo got on the board first in the fourth inning, scoring on a solo home run by Chad Huffman.

The Bulls took the lead for good with four runs in the sixth inning. Jake Goebbert hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Gillaspie en route to the three-run lead.

The Bulls tacked on another run in the eighth when Goebbert hit an RBI single, scoring Jaff Decker.

Neil Wagner (1-1) got the win in relief while Toledo starter Warwick Saupold (3-2) took the loss in the International League game.

Huffman homered and singled for the Mud Hens. J.D. Martinez doubled and singled twice.

Durham improved to 4-2 against Toledo this season.
