Motter singles in winner in 11th for Durham
Taylor Motter hit a single with two outs in the 11th inning, as the Durham Bulls topped the Louisville Bats 6-5 on Saturday.
Johnny Field scored the game-winning run after he reached base with a double and advanced to third on a groundout.
Jesse Winker hit an RBI single in the third inning to help give the Bats a 3-0 lead. The Bulls came back to take a 5-3 lead in the fifth inning when J.P. Arencibia hit an RBI double and Motter scored on a wild pitch.
Louisville tied the game 5-5 in the eighth when Jermaine Curtis hit an RBI single, driving in Scott Schebler.
Durham starter Eddie Gamboa went 6 2/3 innings, allowing four runs and six hits. He also struck out eight and walked three. Danny Farquhar (4-2) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while Kevin Shackelford (1-1) took the loss in the International League game.
Schebler tripled and singled, scoring two runs for the Bats.
