Where: Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a 1.5-mile slightly banked quad-oval.

When: 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Who’s Hot/Who’s Not

HOT

Jimmie Johnson: The (six-time) champ is here.

Kevin Harvick: In two weeks, he has a pair of second-place finishes in the Cup series and an Xfinity Series victory.

Martin Truex Jr.: It’s way early and he’s fifth in points, but Furniture Row Racing has never been higher.

Brett Moffitt: Only scheduled for one start in the Cup series, but he certainly made the most of it.

Matt Crafton: Two-time Truck champion looks ready for No. 3 after dominating win at Atlanta.

Who’s Hot/Who’s Not

Jeff Gordon: He got in a wreck for the second straight race, and this time he found another retaining wall with SAFER barriers. Not the start to the season he hoped for.

Roush Fenway Racing: Three Cup drivers, two races so far, one top-10 finish.

NASCAR inspection process: Whether NASCAR’s fault, teams’ fault – or both – the issue needs to be fixed. It can’t overshadow another race weekend.
