Tom Brady makes cover of Madden 18. Patriots fans now think he’s cursed.
EA Sports has released the latest cover of its Madden NFL game, Madden 18 the G.O.A.T Edition, and on it is the image of a pumped up Tom Brady.
That’s not a good thing for Brady or Patriots fans, according to the “Madden Curse,” which forecasts that whoever is on the cover will sustain an injury or suffer in some way.
Brady, the New England quarterback who threw for 466 passing yards and had two touchdowns in the Patriots’ 34-28 2017 Super Bowl comeback overtime win against the Falcons, doesn’t seem to think the curse will affect him. So he released a video of himself mocking the curse by breaking a mirror, walking under a ladder and using air quotes.
Here’s the reaction from fans and Brady himself.

Well, I guess I won't be buying #Madden18 this year. I'd have to burn the case if I did.

Wonder how much $ Goodell paid #Madden18 to put #TomBrady on the cover in hopes the #MaddenCurse would finally force him into retirement?

Tom Brady is 39 years old. If he starts underperforming, the last thing I'm going to do is blame the #MaddenCurse

can't wait to see how the Madden Curse unfolds for Tom Brady, like i'm more excited about that than the actual season.
