Carolina Panthers open their preseason at home vs. Jets: TV info, radio, tickets

Football is returning to Bank of America Stadium.

The Carolina Panthers open their NFL preseason schedule at home against the New York Jets on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set for just after 4 p.m.

Fans can catch the game live on certain local affiliate networks, depending on where you live. If you’re in Charlotte, that’s WJZY (FOX). If you’re in Columbia, S.C., that’s WACH (FOX). If you’re in Charleston, that’s WCSC (CBS).

A full listing of the Panthers’ TV network is on the team website.

You can also catch the game on NFL Network; you can stream the game via FuboTV, NFL+ or the official Panthers Mobile App — and you can follow it on the radio on WRFX 99.7 FM The Fox. (Check the Panthers’ website for an entire look at the Carolina Panthers Radio Network.)

Single-game tickets start at $23 before fees, according to TicketMaster. Get them on the Panthers’ website.

This isn’t quite the dawn of the Bryce Young era. That will come on the road Sept. 10 against the Atlanta Falcons. But Saturday will be the first time fans can catch a glimpse of their rookie quarterback in an NFL game environment.

Young and Matt Corral will take the majority of snaps Saturday, head coach Frank Reich told reporters Thursday.

Among the notable absences planned for the game: Carolina’s starting running back Miles Sanders, who tweaked his groin earlier this camp, “likely” will sit out the first preseason game, Reich said.

New York Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is not planning on playing in the preseason, will also not participate Saturday.
