Canes draft Finnish forward in second round

The Carolina Hurricanes have selected Finnish forward Sebastian Aho in the second round (35th overall ) of the NHL Entry Draft.

Aho, 17, played in the Finnish Liiga the last two seasons. Listed at 5-11 and 172 pounds, he had four goals and seven assists in 27 games for Oulun Kärpät.

Aho was a member of the Finnish team in the 2015 World Junior Championship.
