Hurricanes-Islanders playoff schedule, game times released by NHL

The Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders will begin their Stanley Cup playoff series with Game 1 on Monday at 7 p.m., the NHL announced Friday.

The Hurricanes, the Metropolitan Division champions, will hold the home-ice advantage over the wild-card Islanders in the best-of-seven series.

Game 2 is set Wednesday at PNC Arena and also will have a 7 p.m. start. The Isles then will host Games 3 and 4 at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York – Game 3 on Friday at 7 p.m. and Game 4 with a 1 p.m. start Sunday.

If Game 5 is necessary, will be played Tuesday April 25 at PNC Arena. Game 6 would be Friday April 28 at UBS Arena, and Game 7 would be Sunday April 30 at PNC Arena.

All of the games in the first-round series will be shown by Bally Sports South, with Mike Maniscalco on the play by play and Tripp Tracy the analyst.

The first two games also will be televised by ESPN2, Game 3 by TBS and Game 4 shown on TNT.
