Canes announce 81-game TV schedule

The Carolina Hurricanes announced Friday that 81 of the team’s 82 regular-season games during the 2015-16 season will be televised by the regional sports network.

Of the 81 games, 70 will be carried on Fox Sports Carolinas and 11 will be carried on Fox Sports Southeast (formerly SportSouth). Carolina’s game against Chicago on Jan. 26 will be televised NBC Sports Network -- the Canes’ only national telecast.

John Forslund will handle the Hurricanes’ play-by-play duties for the 21st consecutive season and Tripp Tracy, entering his 17th season in the broadcast booth, will provide analysis. Michelle McMahon joins the broadcast team this season to host the network’s 30-minute pregame show, Hurricanes Live.
