FORWARDS

No. 11, Jordan Staal (27 years old): 6-foot-4, 220 pounds

Broken leg sidelined him 35 games last season. Needs more offensive production.

No. 12, Eric Staal (30): 6-foot-4, 205 pounds

Team captain, in final year of contract, determined to take Canes to playoffs.

Short but a sandpaper-type player who can harass goalies and kill penalties.
