'70s Music Icons' 'Wild' Fashion Is Turning Heads After 51 Years

In the mid-1970s, when fashion was all about vibrant, bold and fearless style, Tina Turner and Cher took things to another level and made a headline-grabbing moment on national television.

Decades later, the music icons' appearance continues to turn heads and spark conversations on social media thanks to their fashion-forward looks.

On April 27, 1975, Tina Turner made a memorable guest appearance on The Cher Show, joining Cher for a high-energy performance of "Shame, Shame, Shame" that instantly became a standout television moment.

During the episode, the duo's powerful vocals and synchronized choreography were not the only remarkable details, as their iconic outfits also stole the spotlight.

At that time, the Goddess of Pop and the "What's Love Got to Do With It" hitmaker had a twinning moment after stepping out in a jaw-dropping Bob Mackie ensemble.

The music legends wore a halter dress in vibrant pink, black and turquoise with fringe details that added movement, fun and flair to the overall look.

The American fashion designer, who had long collaborated with Cher, added small round mirrors to the dress, giving it a dazzling effect and making it shimmer with every movement on stage.

Fifty-one years later, the episode found a resurgence after the clip sparked buzz on social media.

Fans are praising the duo's electrifying chemistry on stage as well as their "wild" and fearless fashion.

"I love them so much that the two of them together showed a side of pop culture that we'll never see again: unity. Cher and Tina Turner are immortalized icons," one wrote.

"I woulda lost my sh*t seeing this live," a commenter said.

"Well, Tina is always amazing, but check out Cher too! Impressive," another added.

"In the โ€˜70s, women had those legs," an X user remarked, clearly fascinated with the duo's physique.

Interestingly, several fellow music stars have also paid tribute to the duo by recreating their iconic fashion look during The Cher Show.

Among them were sisters Kylie & Dannii Minogue during their special performance at the 2016 The X Factor Australia grand finals, marking their first TV performance in 30 years.

Another musician who was inspired by Cher and Tina Turner's iconic look was Sabrina Carpenter.

The pop star arrived at the MTV VMAs Afterparty in an archival Bob Mackie jumpsuit.

The "Espresso" hitmaker also posted a photo of the look on Instagram, sparking positive comments from her followers, noting how "iconic" her outfit was.
