A salad-based chain restaurant is headed to Cameron Village in Raleigh on Friday.

Chopt, which bills itself as the “creative salad company,” is a counter-service restaurant where guests create their own salads or wraps from a large array of ingredients.

Raleigh’s new location at 420 Daniels St. will make 39 locations for the chain, according to its website. A soft opening is scheduled for Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. A Facebook page for the Raleigh location had an event listed for the soft opening.

The menu features salads, grain and noodle bowls, warm kale and quinoa bowls, build-your-own salads, soup and salad meals, kids’ meals and snacks. Catering also is available.

Online ordering is available at most locations through the Chopt app, though the Raleigh location wasn’t listed yet on the Chopt website Wednesday.

The only other North Carolina locations for Chopt are at 4125 Park Road and 9844 Rea Road in Charlotte, according to the website.
