‘The Mindy Project’ actress, NC university grad impersonates Sarah Huckabee Sanders
An actress and comedy writer with North Carolina roots impersonated the new White House press secretary on Chelsea Handler’s TV show.
Fortune Feimster, who grew up Emily Fortune Feimster in Belmont and graduated Summa Cum Laude from William Peace University in Raleigh in 2002, is an actress on “The Mindy Project.” She appeared as Sarah Huckabee Sanders on last week’s episode of “Chelsea,” mimicking when Huckabee Sanders read a letter purportedly from a 9-year-old fan of President Donald Trump who goes by the nickname “Pickle.”

Feimster, playing Huckabee Sanders, read a letter from a boy nicknamed “Cucumber” in her parody.
Feimster also impersonated Ann Coulter on “Chelsea” in 2016. Feimster has appeared in several shows and movies, including 2 Broke Girls, Workaholics, Glee, Life in Color and Drunk History.
“Chelsea” is a web TV late-night talk show hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler. The show streams Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week and is Netflix’s first talk show.
