Bull Mastiff Takes Himself to Bed-but There's One Heart Melting Problem

A 9-month-old bull mastiff has captured the internet's attention after a simple bedtime moment turned unexpectedly emotional.

In a viralTikTok video shared on Wednesday under the username @fonzeethebullmastiff, the sweet pup named Fonzee is seen sitting quietly on the floor at the foot of his owner's bed.

The large puppy looks up longingly, clearly wanting to climb onto the bed but unable to do so without help from his owner.

Rather than whining or wandering away, Fonzee patiently waits, his eyes fixed on the bed as if hoping assistance will arrive soon. The moment is brief, but it struck a chord with viewers almost immediately.

The caption explains what led to the scene: "He left me while we were watching TV and I found him waiting for his life into bed," it continues, "Poor baby had a long day."

Pet MD explains that letting your dog sleep in your bed isn't a simple yes-or-no decision, there are benefits and drawbacks to it, and that the right choice depends on your dog's behavior, your health, and personal preferences.

On the positive side, co-sleeping can strengthen the bond between you and your dog, provide comfort, and allow more time together. However, there are potential downsides to consider.

Dogs may disrupt sleep by moving, snoring, or needing attention during the night. Hygiene can also be an issue, as dogs may bring dirt, allergens, or parasites into the bed.

In some cases, allowing a dog in bed may contribute to behavioral problems, such as possessiveness or lack of boundaries.

Whether or not you chose to allow your pup into bed, experts say that they should always have a bed of their own available, just in case they want to use it.

The video quickly went viral on the platform, drawing widespread attention from TikTok users who were charmed by Fonzee's evening routine.

So far, the clip has received over 689,800 views and 79,400 likes on the platform.

One user, Echo_Kima_Egypts mom, commented: "We have a small bench at the end of our bed for this exact reason!"

Shorty78821 said: "Bless his heart he hasn’t figured out that he’s a big boy yet."

Soulsoul7775 added: "Just big for no reason, did he even try?"
