Walmart Neighborhood Market in Newton to temporarily close for rapid remodel
Walmart Neighborhood Market in Newton will temporarily close for a planned, rapid remodel designed to improve speed, convenience and the everyday shopping experience for customers.
The pharmacy and fuel station will remain open, ensuring continued access to essential services.
The store at 1818 Northwest Blvd., Newton, will close May 4.
The planned rapid remodel and temporary closure for four weeks are part of Walmart's commitment to refresh and enhance customer experience across its Neighborhood Market stores, according to a news release.
By condensing a traditional remodel project, which could take up to six months, we deliver the next generation of retail to our customers faster than ever before with less customer disruption, the release said.
Alongside the remodel team, Walmart associates will support the remodel, to help get the store completed and open to the community as quickly as possible.
The refreshed store will include the following features:
* Fresh Look & Feel: New paint, fixtures, signage and LED lighting for a brighter, more inviting shopping environment.
* Expanded Aisles: A reconfigured layout to provide more space and convenience for shoppers.
* Online Grocery Pickup & Delivery Upgrades: Enhancements to support increased demand for online grocery services.
* Pharmacy Improvements: The pharmacy will be updated and enhanced to better serve customers' health care needs.
