Meerkats Chilling in Mini Beach Chairs Are Serving Serious Vacation Vibes
OK, let's be honest-sometimes an internet video just hits a little differently. Whether it's a sappy-turned-happy story or something unexpectedly funny, it's often the one you didn't see coming that sticks with you. I recently came across a TikTok video I didn't even know I needed in my life, and I had to share it.
Peak Wildlife Park shared an adorable video of their meerkats enjoying pint-sized deck chairs, and it's total cuteness overload. Personally, I didn't realize how entertaining these little animals are, and I also had no idea they could be this adorable without even trying.
@peakwildlifepark Huge thanks to our wonderful volunteer Martin for gifting the meerkats these adorable new deck chairs just in time for summer, safe to say they're obsessed #cuteanimals#peakwildlifepark#meerkats#funnyanimals#funnyanimalstiktok

A volunteer named Martin gave the meerkats the tiny chairs and helped set them up in their enclosure, too. Their curiosity was instant, and they seemed to instinctively know what the tiny seats were for... relaxing, of course.
Clearly, meerkats have a stressful life, so it's important for them to have a place to relax and unwind! LOL! One TikToker wrote, "I love that they're immediately, 'ah yes, a chair you sit on!'" Another joked that the meerkats were probably saying, "Phew, finally I can sit down after all that standing!"

Facts About Meerkats You May Not Know
Many people assume that a meerkat is part of the cat family, but that's not actually the case. They may resemble weasels, but they belong to the mongoose family. Native to the dry desert regions of Southern Africa, meerkats are well adapted to some pretty harsh environments.
These little guys are carnivores, and their diet mainly consists of insects-something many of us remember thanks to Timon in The Lion King. According to PBS, meerkats can go without drinking water and get the hydration they need from consuming plants and fruit.
The internet is cracking up over meerkats in tiny, doll-like furniture. One person even suggested, "There'd better be a meerkats-in-deck-chairs calendar dropping soon!" Another fan agreed, saying, "I would actually buy this, omg!"
