This Squad of 4 Dachshunds Walks Like They've Got Adult Problems

Dachshunds are one of the funniest dog breeds alive because they are built like novelty items and carry themselves like middle management. They are long, low, dramatic, and permanently moving as if someone just told them there has been a scheduling error. No breed that tiny should have that much urgency in their body, and yet here they are, stomping through life like they have three meetings, a blood pressure issue, and exactly 12 minutes to fix both.

This video is that energy times four.

We see a whole squad of Dachshunds marching through the park, all pulling tight on their leashes, moving fast with that signature little bounce that makes it look like the rent is due, the power bill is late, and someone has just texted "we need to talk." The caption says exactly that: "They move like the rent is due ." And once you see it, you can't unsee it.

The video caption makes it even better: "Someone said that Dachshunds walk like they're late for work and now I can't unsee it."

Correct.

Because these four aren't strolling. They're not casually enjoying a nature outing. They are commuting. There is purpose in every tiny footstep. The little synchronized urgency of it all is so absurdly specific that it stops being just "cute dog video" and becomes an entire working-class narrative.

One comment says, "Truth. It's either 100 mph or 0 mph ," and that is one of the most accurate summaries of Dachshunds I have ever seen. There's no in-between setting with these dogs. They are either racing through the world like tiny sausages with unresolved debts, or they are fully horizontal and unavailable for comment.

And honestly, I get it. My dog Lola only knows one speed, and that speed is trying to break the sound barrier on a daily basis. So I deeply respect an animal who treats every walk like the opening scene of an action movie.

This clip is simple, visual, and immediately funny. Four Dachshunds. One park path. Maximum urgency. Zero explanation. Sometimes that's all the internet really needs.

Why Dachshunds Walk So Fast on Leash

Dachshunds may be tiny, but they are not low-energy dogs. The AKC describes them as bold, clever, and lively, and notes that they were bred to hunt badgers, which explains a lot about that forward-pulling, no-time-to-explain attitude.

That quick, determined walk often comes from a mix of excitement, prey-drive wiring, and pure Dachshund self-importance. In other words, they are not "just walking fast." They're pursuing a mission only they understand, and frankly, it's rude of us to question it.
