Can Cats Really Roll Their Eyes?
So the question now is: Did the kitty really roll his eyes because he found his dad's dance moves to be lame or annoying?
It was timed so perfectly that it looks like the Tabby did indeed have a reaction to his dad's dancing, but could this really happen?
According to VetsExplainCats, yes, cats can roll their eyes.
They don't have as much motion as humans, but they can certainly move their eyes in different directions, and this includes rolling them with their eye muscles.
And yes, rolling their eyes can happen when they are annoyed or disinterested.
But do be on alert if your cat is excessively rolling their eyes or showing other abnormal eye movements, as it could be a sign of a bigger health issue.
However, there is also a chance that another eye movement could mimic eye rolling, such as half-closed eyes, wide-eyed staring, or a squinting or narrowing gaze.
It could also be the kitty's eyes following movement, appearing to be a roll. This is part of their natural hunting instincts.
