TikToker Brooke Gannon recently brought home a new Pit Bull puppy, whom she crates whenever she has to leave for work or head to the gym. Plenty of pet parents do the same thing to keep curious puppies from getting into trouble, chewing on things they shouldn't, or having accidents around the house while they're still potty training.

So imagine Brooke's surprise when she came home multiple times and realized she had a tiny escape artist on her hands. Despite being left safely inside the crate, the clever little puppy kept mysteriously freeing herself while Brooke was gone. Brooke wanted to know how she was pulling it off, and finally decided to record the pup to see how she was getting out. Wait until you see the adorable trick this puppy uses to free herself.

Aww! Brooke's puppy literally kisses her way out of the crate! And as a pet parent to a sweet pittie, we agree with what commenter @LoBrandsIt had to say about it: "Gently kissing her way out is the most Pit Bull coded thing ever!"

What Your Puppy Is Really Trying to Tell You When They Escape

Be the Boss Dog Training (BTBDT) explains that if you've got a canine escape artist on your hands, the issue usually goes deeper than simply "wanting out" of the crate. "Let's get one thing straight: when your dog goes full Houdini on their crate, it's not just about escaping. It's about stress."

While most pet parents use crates to help puppies feel calm, safe, and secure, some dogs can experience the exact opposite feeling. BTBDT compares it to humans trying to relax by turning on the nightly news; it's technically possible, but not exactly comforting.

They note, "Dogs can feel trapped, both physically and mentally, in crates - especially if they associate it with isolation or punishment."

The trainers also point out that not all crates are the same, and sometimes small adjustments can make a huge difference. "Maybe your dog needs a bigger crate or a softer bed. Maybe they need a crate that feels more open, like a den, rather than a plastic fortress. Sometimes a little rearranging can go a long way."

This clever little Pit bull puppy decided to take matters into her own paws (or more accurately, her tongue!) and rearrange her situation all by herself.
