Golden Retriever Is Loved So Hard by Dad He Falls Asleep Standing Up
If I could come back as anything or anyone, it would 100% be a well-cared-for, pampered, adored dog whose parents revolve the world around me! OK, so maybe that's a long shot, but there are many pups out there living my dream, so I'm always happy when I get the chance to see how they're responding to all the love.
Marley is one of NYC's most popular Golden Retrievers, but it's only when he's the center of Dad's attention that he really feels good. He's so happy, he can't even stay awake... while standing!

Oh, to be @marleynyc in this video! I can only imagine how soothing Dad's grooming must feel after Marley's long day at work (being adorable is hard work). As if Golden Retrievers aren't already one of the world's best breeds, Marley comes along and makes me want to BE one.

That said, Dad doting on the Golden Retriever was necessary as he was preparing to have a lump removed. As one of the world's "goodest" boys with more than 2 million TikTok followers obsessed with him, Marley's job is one that blesses us all. So, if he wants to indulge in a little grooming sesh, let him!
After his lump removal, the sweet pup was even more tired, so I hope Dad got right to work with comfort and kisses.

Why Dogs Can Sleep Anywhere
I've caught my pups in the strangest sleeping positions at times. My senior rescue prefers the floor, on his stomach, while my Corgi is usually found on her back with her legs sprawled out. Both are perfect!
Sometimes, dogs choose odd positions because they're flexible; other times, it's for temperature regulation, instinct, or because it's less pressure on their spine. That makes sense!
It's not easy being so sleepy and relaxed that a pooch will fall asleep standing up, but Marley's a pro at everything he does, which includes being the center of Mom and Dad's universe!
