The first step starts with a simple spray mixture. Mama Mila combines one cup of water with one cup of white vinegar and peppermint oil, then lightly mists the mattress surfaces.

You can also use the same mixture in bedside areas. Spray it onto a cloth and wipe across bedside tables, shelves, and nearby surfaces. The peppermint oil leaves behind a lighter scent, while the vinegar mixture gets used for dust and buildup.
Another step happens while vacuuming. Spray a linen-scented mixture onto cotton balls, then tuck them into the vacuum canister before cleaning rugs and carpets. As the vacuum moves through the room, the fragrance carries with it. Mama Mila notes that the canister should be emptied immediately afterward.
To freshen your laundry, mix Epsom salt with a few drops of essential oil, then add it directly to the washing machine drum with sheets, pillowcases, and other linens for added softness.
Once everything has been washed and folded, the routine finishes with linen spray applied on bedding, blankets, and softer fabrics around the room.
