3 Must-See Summer Movies You Can't Miss

Summer is here! And that means movies are back in the biggest way possible. A tradition that has endured through generations, there's nothing like going to the theater and watching a good movie when the weather gets scorching, and school is out for June, July, and August. These are the must-see films to enjoy with friends and family in the theater in the next three months.

Toy Story 5 (June 19)

Toy Story is Pixar's crown jewel, still going strong after 30 years and four previous movies. While many thought the company would stop making these films, a fifth movie might just work if the plot is done properly.

The story will follow the debate regarding how much children should be using technology compared to traditional toys. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are back for the fifth time, and Taylor Swift has a new original song in the film.

The Odyssey (July 17)

Christopher Nolan has a nauseating reputation with diehard fans that is somewhat earned; his films are usually excellent. The Odyssey should be no different. It stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, a legendary warrior from Greek mythology who is on a grueling journey based on Homer's ancient works. Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron are acting in support.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31)

Spider-Man is one of the most bulletproof franchises in entertainment, and Marvel needs the character now more than ever. With fatigue for superhero movies at an all-time high, this soft reboot of Tom Holland's hero should do well with audiences.

The movie takes place in a world where everyone has forgotten who Peter Parker was after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. This gives the story some wiggle room to create a new direction for the franchise after a half-decade off the screen. Zendaya and other MCU actors like Mark Ruffalo will return to add familiarity to the proceedings.
