This DIY Birdbath Is Such a Whimsical Addition to Any Garden or Yard

The creator behind the TikTok page FemaleToby (@ryanlaloyd) recently posted a few videos of how she makes her bird baths, and all you need for this DIY is various glass or ceramic tableware and glue.

To get started on her first one, she laid out her collection of thrifted glasses, teacups and vases, as well as ceramic dishes, bowls and teacups. Then, she arranged them in a stack, alternating between dishes/bowls and vases to create three levels. She also added a small teacup to the side of two of the dishes. This is the part of the craft where you can get creative - play around until you love how your stack looks.

Then, she used Liquid Nails glue to attach each piece of crockery to the next. To do this, she simply outlined the rim or base of one piece with glue, and stuck it to the next.

Once FemaleToby let the glue dry, she filled the bottom bowl with rocks to help weigh it down, the top bowl with water and each teacup with birdseed.

These Birdbaths Can Also Support Bees and Other Pollinators

In the comments, someone suggested that FemaleToby put smooth rocks on one dish and then add a little water, to make it easier for bees to drink. So, she created another bird bath and did just that, using clear glass beads in the glass bowl on the top story.

And for FemaleToby's third bird bath, she used clear blue glass beads on the top level to help out the bees. She also included three small cups on this one and filled them with birdseed.

These bird baths all turned out absolutely gorgeous, and putting one in your yard is a great way to support birds, bees, butterflies and other pollinators in your neighborhood. That said, these bird baths are made of breakable materials - so make sure to bring them inside whenever wind is forecasted.
