To provide unlimited election coverage, N&O lifting its paywall

The News & Observer and other McClatchy publications will provide unlimited digital access at no charge this week to all of the journalism it produces.

There’s no limit on the number of articles you can read, videos you can watch or photos you can see; if it’s on our website, it’s available to you.

“Tuesday’s election is hugely consequential — not just at the national level, but in hundreds if not thousands of locals races across the country,” said Tim Grieve, McClatchy’s vice president for news, in an email.

“At this pivotal moment in our nation’s history, we believe all Americans are entitled to timely and accurate information from a news source they can trust,” Grieve said.
