What kind of beer does North Carolina Google the most?
North Carolina likes its beer.
Boasting a wealth of craft brews, taprooms and breweries, the Tar Heel State is home to award-winning beer no stranger to imbibing quality.
But what type of beer do North Carolinians turn to Google to search for most frequently?
That would be ale, as it turns out.
Based on Google search data compiled by business website BusinessBroker.net, the top searched beer style in North Carolina is ale and the most searched for brewery is Asheville Brewing Co.
Ale was the most popular beer style search across the board – more states had it as their No. 1 search than any other – followed closely by IPA and pale ale.
The only state that didn’t search most for a craft brewery was Missouri, which, unsurprisingly, searched most commonly for Busch.
