Heather O'Reilly is relentless. Attack! Attack! Attack!
This competitive fire, along with a tremendous amount of self-discipline and hard work, helped her become an elite world class soccer player who starred at UNC-Chapel Hill and went on to win World Cup championships and Olympic gold medals.
Now, even while playing professionally for Arsenal Ladies FC in England, O’Reilly is dedicated to helping young women develop their fire, their positive attitudes, their leadership, and teaching them to be the same glue to a team that she has been at every level.
On the field recently during a clinic for young players in Raleigh, her spirit is quickly contagious. She was once that young girl, getting to meet and then play with her heroes. She’s that hero now, and she’s very serious about that role, constantly reinforcing attributes that will serve her students through life. Relentless in fact. Attack! Attack! Attack!
