One person injured as fire at WRAL building briefly disrupts news coverage
One employee was taken to the hospital as a precaution Friday night after a fire broke out at the WRAL-TV studios west of downtown Raleigh, according to the TV station.
The employee, identified as engineering crew member Chris Cormier, was treated for smoke inhalation and later released.
The fire, said to have started on the second floor, was contained in less than an hour.

Neither the 10 p.m. newscast on the Fox affiliate WRAZ-TV nor the 11 p.m. newscast on the NBC affiliate WRAL-TV was affected.
But some high school football coverage was disrupted, the station said.
