Durham teen charged with murder in beating death

Police have charged a 16 year old with the beating death of a man found in a car at an apartment complex last month.

Myquan Deshun Spears of Durham has been charged with murder, police announced late Tuesday. Spears is accused of killing Willie Shon Sadler, 43, of Durham, who was found at an apartment complex at 3020 East Weaver Street the evening of Oct. 22.

Police say Sadler’s death does not appear to be a random incident, but they have not said how they think he and Spears knew each other.

Investigators had been told that Sadler was attacked by a group of people, but police have announced just one arrest.

Spears is being held in the Durham County jail without the bail.
