Man, 58, charged with sexual contact with child

Police on Saturday accused a 58-year-old construction worker of two felonies involving sexual contact with a 4-year-old.

Epifanio Hernandez-Garcia of Raleigh is charged with first-degree sex offense and indecent liberties.

The crimes were committed Friday and Saturday, court records said.

Hernandez-Garcia is being held in lieu of $1 million bail and is barred from having contact with the victim or the victim’s family. He is set to appear in court Monday.
