Memorial set for April 7 for Quail Ridge Books founder Nancy Olson

A memorial services for Nancy Olson, founder and long-time owner of Quail Ridge Books, has been set for 11 a.m., April 7, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh, 3313 Wade Ave., the store announced.

Olson, 75, a nurturer of books and authors during her decades at the store, died Sunday after a long bout with kidney disease.

Quail Ridge Books will be closed for the day at the direction of owner Lisa Poole “to honor Nancy and so that all the staff will have the opportunity to attend her service,” a statement said.
