One killed in Raleigh shooting near NCSU

Police are investigating a shooting near the N.C. State University campus that left one man dead and another injured late Saturday night.

Someone called to report a shooting in the 1400 block of Collegeview Avenue, near Marcom Street, just before 11 p.m. When police arrived, they found Irvin Adan Gonzalez-Martinez, 18, fatally wounded and Daniel Deleon Pittman, 23, suffering non life-threatening injuries.

Police say the crime was not a random act but had not announced any arrests Sunday morning. Police did not release any other details, including a possible motive for the shooting.
