Police: Man shot in Raleigh when phone sale sours
A man was slightly wounded by a gunshot Friday morning when what was supposed to be a cell-phone purchase in a Wendy’s parking lot turned into a dispute, police said.
Police were looking for suspects who fled on Carlton Avenue in a gray, early 2000s Honda, spokesman Jim Sughrue said.
The incident happened in the parking lot at the Wendy’s restaurant at 3715 Western Blvd. shortly after 10:30, Sughrue said.
The man told officers he had arranged to meet men who had a cell phone to sell, police said.
