In a string of arrest warrants, Wake County sheriff's investigators have charged a woman with using six stolen credit cards and 25 stolen checks to steal $49,000 from a man between July 28 and early this month.
Six of the 16 warrants accuse Nadia Ann Flores, 46, of 1675 Clifford Road, just outside Garner, of financial card theft and financial card fraud. A warrant charges her with stealing a total of 30 checks under the term the law calls “larceny of chose in action.” There also are two counts of obtaining property by false pretense and two counts of uttering a forged instrument.
There are 25 counts of forgery, with almost all of the checks made out to one of two men’s names, Mark Brichikov and Wayne Rhora. The warrants show the check-theft charge as stemming from July 31. The credit-card-theft charges list dates of July 28, July 31 and Nov. 3.
Flores was first arrested Dec. 5 on the credit-card charges. While being held at the Wake County Detention Center, she was charged last Thursday under the name Nadia Ann Brichikov with credit-card fraud and on Friday under the name Flores with the charges related to the checks.
Her bail totaled $218,000.
Records show that a Mark Brichikov, 33, was arrested Jan. 23 on charges of cocaine and heroin possession. Nadia Flores was arrested that day on the same charges at the same address – a mobile home park at 8100 Bryan Road, a Garner mailing address.
The mobile home park is shown in county tax records as being owned by Charles Wayne and Ruby Rhora, but there nothing in the warrants say that man is the one named as a payee on several of the stolen checks.
Flores was scheduled to appear before a judge Monday on the latest charges.
Court calendars show that a woman named Nadia Natasha Brichikov, who has the same birth date as the woman charged under the names Nadia Ann Flores and Nadia Ann Brichikov, has a court dale in Wake County on Jan. 11 concerning a series of traffic charges and a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
