Police: Raleigh woman repelled attackers, injured two with knife
A woman who was the target of an assault after an argument late Tuesday sent two of her three attackers to a hospital with stab wounds instead, police said.
They said the woman was arguing with two women and a man outside her Bunnalley Court apartment in east Raleigh shortly before midnight.
She went inside, and the three then kicked in her door and intended to assault her, police said.
The woman was able to grab a knife, however, and cut two of the three, who then fled in a car to nearby WakeMed Raleigh hospital for treatment, according to the account police assembled.
At the hospital about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, police arrested Jasmine Demarise Edgerton, 23, Jahbria Tiara Edgerton, 21, and Earl Quiller II, 26. The Edgertons live at 911 Edison Road. Quiller’s address was listed as 500 Saint George Road.
Officers charged each woman with breaking and entering and assault and battery, both misdemeanors. They charged Quiller with breaking and entering as a misdemeanor and misdemeanor assault on a female.
Police said Jasmine Edgerton and Quiller were the ones hurt.
The relationship of the Edgertons was not available. They were held in lieu of $3,000 bail each.
Quiller was held in lieu of $7,000 bail. All were scheduled to go before a judge Wednesday.
The woman and the three people arrested knew each other before the incident, police said.
