6-year-old Braylon Beam is going to Super Bowl 50, with tickets from Ellen
He’s a 6-year-old Carolina Panthers fan and a former head coach of that team, and Ellen DeGeneres is making sure Braylon Beam is going to the Super Bowl.
On her show this week, DeGeneres said the boy, a kindergartner who is undergoing treatment for a tumor on his optic nerve, is the team’s good luck charm.
Braylon, a Denver, N.C., boy served as honorary coach for the Carolina Panthers last year, has been on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” before.
In August of 2014, Braylon’s trip to Bank of America Stadium for Fan Fest in August was featured on the show.
“I know we’re going to win the Super Bowl this year,” he told the team during the clip. “Be brave, be positive, have the heart. Go Cats.”
Braylon takes credit for the Panthers undefeated start to this season. He also tried to charm DeGeneres into becoming a Panthers fan.
“I know you’re a Saints fan,” Braylon said. “We’ve got to change that around. All you have to do to be a Panthers fan is dab. I want you to be a Panthers fan, please?”
“I can be both – I like the Packers, the Panthers and the Saints,” DeGeneres replied. “But I really do, I think Cam’s an amazing quarterback. I am a fan. OK? You don’t have to beg me.”
