McCrory returns from trip to L.A.
Gov. Pat McCrory has returned from an unannounced trip to Los Angeles, where he participated in a panel of governors at the Milken Institute’s 2015 Global Conference on Monday.
McCrory talked about public-private cooperation, transportation, the economy, Medicaid, energy drilling, and commercializing university research, according to a statement released by his office on Tuesday.
He appeared on a panel with Gov. Terry McAuliffe of Virginia, Gov. John Hickenlooper of Colorado and Gov. Pete Ricketts of Nebraska.
McCrory returned to North Carolina Monday evening, his office said.
Update: State Treasurer Janet Cowell was also at the Los Angeles event. She was part of a panel discussion about pensions with representatives from the University of California, the Texas teacher retirement system, Japan’s pension investment fund and the president of a teachers’ pension plan.
